1 year anniversary!
Life is changing
So my last post was about our 1 year anniversary, my tumor surgery etc. Well week of surgery I found out we were pregnant! So my surgery was canceled. They said I should be fine, I will just have to have it removed after the baby is born.
It was planned and not planned at the same time lol. We decided the last week of August to start trying, 2 weeks later we found out about the tumor and scheduled surgery. So obviously we stopped trying once we found out about the tumor. But we were already pregnant at that point (just didn't know it yet) lol we didn't think it would happen that fast! haha but we are so excited, and happy things are going well with this pregnancy so far!

Wow I cannot believe it has already been a year!
We just celebrated my 20th birthday and our 1 year wedding anniversary. Time has gone by so fast, and so much has changed in our lives. Steven is now attending UF! This is his first semester, and he is getting ready for the career fair which is in a few days! We are hoping he will be able to get an internship somewhat close so we can stay in Florida, and have family close. I am working several different jobs still and I love all of them. I completed my ISSA schooling, and received my license in sports nutrition, and sports therapy.
My new doctor is helping a lot! I feel 100% better! Unfortunately when I went to my other doctor for my yearly checkup, he found a lump in my left breast. I had it ultrasound and they said its a tumor. Now I have to have surgery to have it removed. So we are just hoping all goes well with that.

Mom and Dad went to Italy (for their anniversary)with Aunt Jane and Uncle Nelson for 16 days!!! So me and Steven had all 3 of my siblings for those 16 days! Ah it was a lot of work but a lot of fun! Mom and Dad had a blast on their trip and didn't want to come home!

How we met
We met during college weekend at a (University of FL) LDS institute program. It was a dance night that night (January 23 2009) and Steven sweetly asked me (Jessica) to dance. (more than once) Steven came back the next morning for breakfast and ultimate Frisbee (and me) =] we talked some more and I ended up calling Steven 30 minutes after he left to see if he would be willing to go on a date, to a play at the hippodrome that night! He accepted my request and we have been going out ever since.
THE PROPOSAL
7:00 pm - I went to get ready for the Zombie prom/boo dance at Stevens apartment, along with my best friend Erin and her boyfriend Bubby. When I arrived at Steven's place he had a bouquet of 3 roses for me, I thought it was very sweet of him but I didn’t think anything "special" was going on, I just thought he was being sweet.
8:35 pm- We arrive at the zombie prom/boo dance (where we had met 10 months earlier) danced a few songs, visited with friends, than decided to leave and get something to eat.
10:30 pm- about half way to steak ‘n shake (where we went after another dance we had attended together on valentines day and where we had our first true loves kiss) he turns our song on the radio, pulls into the same parking spot, kisses me the same way he did the first time we kissed than offered to get my door.
When he opened the door he said “Jessica I need to ask you something, I gave you 3 roses for a reason, one for the past, one for the present, and one for the future.. I want you to be in my future forever so I have a question for you”,…(by this time I’m balling my eyes out and he said some other sweet romantic things I cant remember because I was crying and trying to remember to breathe), he then got down on his knee and said
“Jessica Nicole Shields will you marry me?”.
